Anthony is an Exercise physiologist, strength and conditioning coach, community organizer, and founder of More Watters co. More Watters co. has recently won an Elevation Award in efforts to help build the Movement is Medicine project. The project aims to use exercise to prevent, manage and treat chronic disease in Baltimore City. The Elevation Award, a program created by Baltimore Corp, provide seed funding and business development programming to social entrepreneurs.
Anthony has a B.S. in human performance and sports medicine from Howard University. While at Howard, he worked at Medstar National Rehab Hospital in Washington D.C., where he assisted physical and occupational therapist to rehabilitate stroke and brain trauma patients. he went on to earn my M.S. in Exercise Science from McDaniel College.
While working as a therapy aide at Good Samaritan Hospital, he taught physical education coursework and trained several of the division 1 sports teams at Morgan State University as an adjunct faculty and strength and conditioning coach.
Anthony has developed a new program at Medstar Good Samaritan Hospital for patience with neurological and/or complex conditions, once they are discharged from traditional therapy. The program aims to progress movements re-learned in therapy to help patients become more functional as well as improve cardiovascular function.
He is also the co-founder of It Takes One Inc. A nonprofit organization that aims to give scholarships to Baltimore City Public high school seniors. It Takes One connect scholars to opportunities and professional networks as they matriculate through college. They create platforms that allow the community to come together to create the change we want to see. Since its inception in 2016, It Takes One Inc. has grassroots fundraised close to $10,000 and given away 5 scholarships.
